US administers its first COVID-19 vaccine on a New York ICU nurse
The United States has administered its first Covid-19 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. The first person to receive the vaccine on Monday was Sandra Lindsay, a nurse in Queens, New York according to reports.
The event was live-streamed with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D). “You didn’t flinch,” Cuomo quipped of Lindsay’s vaccination. Of the vaccine, Lindsay said, “I’m feeling well. I would like to thank all of the frontline workers and all my colleagues… for doing their job during this pandemic all over the world.
