Blood is sacred. It is essentially it carries the life form of what makes us who we are. Supplies oxygen and nutrients in the body, holds the key to our immune response, and basically without sufficient blood, the life ceases to exist.
This is why God had stringent instructions to His people as far as blood was concerned. Touching blood was bad as it is, but so was other things like drinking it or storing it, taking it from a person (spilling blood) among other strict restrictions regarding blood.
Gen_9:4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. Lev 3:17 It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.
But one rapper thought he might just have the right idea on what to do with human blood that God never thought of. Have a drop in shoes.
Lil Nas X, the “Old Town Road” artist, is collaborating with the streetwear company MSCHF on a pair of “Satan Shoes,” only 666 pairs of which will be on sale Monday. The controversial kicks — apparently modified Nike Air Max 97s — are decorated with a pentagram pendant and a reference to Luke 10:18, a Bible verse about Satan’s fall from heaven. They’ll be sold for $1,018.
The sneakers also contain a drop of human blood in the sole, drawn from members of the MSCHF team, the company told NBC News on Sunday.
The shoes were released just days after Lil Nas X’s controversial “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” music video premiered on March 25 on YouTube, which is reminiscent of the same Satanic theme.
Although SAINT includes the Nike symbol on the outside of the footwear, Nike released a statement to Input Magazine claiming no involvement in the shoe’s creation.
“We do not have a relationship with Little Nas X or MSCHF,” Nike said in a statement. “Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them.”
Several Christian organizations have come out to condemn the release of the ‘Satanic shoes’ but the artists might claim that these are a work of art and thus get some ‘legal protection’ in the manufacture and sell.
